November - Season of Thankfulness, Giving, and Service
Posted Date: 11/02/26 (12:25 PM)
Dear Heritage Families,
November is a special time at Heritage Elementary as we focus on thankfulness, kindness, and service to others. Throughout the month, we encourage our students to reflect on how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
One of our favorite Heritage traditions is supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through our Heritage Heroes fundraising team. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to put their leadership skills into action by helping children and families facing difficult challenges.
This year, our schoolwide fundraising goal is $8,000, and thanks to the generosity of our Heritage community, we have already raised $2,400! We are off to a great start, but we still have a way to go! We invite families to support this meaningful cause by making a donation through our Heritage Heroes fundraising page:
Donate to Heritage Heroes for St. Jude
We will also celebrate our commitment to St. Jude with two special days:
- Tuesday, November 3 – Hat Day (Suggested donation of $2 - cash of checks made payable to St Jude)
- Friday, November 13 – Pajama Day (Suggested donation of $2 - cash of checks made payable to St Jude)
Thank you for helping us build a school community where kindness and service are more than words—they are actions. We are grateful for our Heritage families and the difference we can make together!
With gratitude,
Dr. Georgina P. Nelson
